ADVENT REFLECTION AFTERNOON
Sunday, November 30. 1:30-4:00pm.
New Life Center. St. Edward Parish.
"Hope in the Midst of Darkness: An Advent Reflection on the Prophet Isaiah." is the theme for this afternoon of reflection on the season of Advent seen through the eyes of the prophet Isaiah. Readings from the book of Isaiah have a prominent role in our Sunday readings during the season of Advent. This Old Testament prophet, who lived some eight centuries before the birth of Christ, spoke during difficult times and reminded people of God's promise to send a Messiah--a promise Christians believe was fulfilled in Jesus. Presented by Andrew Massena, professor of scripture at Loras College. Free and open to the public. Pre-registration suggested. Sponsored by Waterloo Catholic Faith Formation.

If you or someone you know is an inactive, alienated, angry or disillusioned or former Catholic, we welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns and questions in a safe, understanding and non-judgmental environment, even if you do not anticipate resuming participation in the Catholic faith community.
